In July, PomPomDog organized its first contest thanks to “Furry & Classy”, the online store specialized in accessories for mini dogs.
As you can remember, the prices were two handmade toy bones and personalized with the name of the pets, which were won by Tania (via our Instagram @dragosteva) and Sarito (via our Facebook page Pompomdog) for their lovely Pomeranians Olalla & Diva. (more…)
Three weeks ago, Colette had the opportunity to attend for the first time the meeting of Pomeranian dogs organized by the Facebook group of our city.
The event took place at a dog park on the outskirts, which is big enough (at least for the size of our Poms 😉 ), with grass and sand areas, a fountain to cool them and, above all, fenced, allowing the dogs to run with total freedom. (more…)

As a continuation of the post from some weeks ago where PomPomDog travelled to Paris and we introduced you the “Animal Welfare Centre” (post that you can read here), we have an interview with Patricia Rerolle, the Founder of the “Welfare Animal Centre” in today’s post.
With many years in dog training, in countries such as U.S.A., Canada and Belgium, Patricia Rerolle has also created the first “Puppy School” in Paris, France.

According to a book called “The intelligence of Dogs” written by Stanley Coren, psychologist in the British University of Vancouver (Canada), there are three aspects in dogs’ intelligence:
Keeping in mind this last kind of intelligence, Coren classified the different dogs’ breeds. The method consisted of sending requests of evaluation to the obedience competition’s judges of the American Kennel Club and Canadian Kennel Club, asking them to classify breeds according to their performance.
From 131 evaluated dogs breeds, our dear Pomeranian took 23rd position in the excellent working breeds, that’s to say, those breeds who understand new commands with between 5 and 15 repetitions, and that obey, at least, in 85% of the cases. Is it not bad, is it? (more…)
Today we have the great pleasure of announcing the result of the Pompomdog’s first contest with two customized toy bones with the name of the winners’ pets.
As you can remember, you were able to participate via Facebook or via Instagram. The truth is that we haven’t had to hold a raffle via Instagram because just one person has met all the requirements we asked for (we’ll try to make it clear or change the requirements the next time to encourage you to participate).

The first PomPomDog’s contest finishes today, the 9th of July 2015, at midnight (Spain time = GTM+1), so you are still on time to participate.
The prizes come from the beautiful online shop Furry & Classy and they consist of two toy bones, which can be used to play with your pets, to decorate their beds or just as a souvenir for you! The bone will be customized with the name of your pet on it and with the clothing colours that you choose. The clothing used is made of 100% high quality cotton and with lots of love : )
