In this first post after the summer holidays, Colette wants to tell you “in exclusive” where she has spent her holidays. She was in Gandía (Valencia, Spain), in L’Ahuir Beach, which has a reserved area for dogs – Can Gandía –
Among the canine beaches that we know (Fuengirola in Málaga, and Es Faralló and the mouth of a river in Sant Eulalia, in Ibiza) Can Gandía is, in our opinion, the best by far for:
Being relatively large;
Its cleaness of both the beach and the sea;
Having fine sand (not the tipical rocky soils that can damage the little paws);
Not too deep waters;
Having facilities, such as bins, a hose to remove the salt from the dogs and a shower for humans.
Being open all year long, even in peak season.
In Can Gandía you must only follow some “civilized” basic rules, which are indicated on a board at the entrance of the beach, as for example, collect the droppings, bring the ID dog card and the pet passport in order, and keep the dogs leashed while they’re in the sand (unfortunately this last rule is not respected by all the owners 🙁 )
Colette has enjoyed a lot the sand, the breeze… and the sea? Do you think that Colette loves sea bathing? You can discover it in this mini-video!
And your poms, do they like sea bathing? Which canine beaches do you know?
¿A qué playas has ido con Olalla? ¡Besos!
