For those who are faithful followers of the blog since our beginnings, you know that Colette has spent the holidays on the beach (you can read that post by clicking here), in a floating house (click here), or even in a tree hut (read it by clicking here). Where has Colette spent its summer holidays this year?
We flew to France this summer and, by the way, if you have doubts about how to travel on the plane with your Pomeranians, we also wrote a post some time ago that you can read here.
Together with our French ‘cousin’ Sissy the Westie, and having as ‘operation centre’ a typical cottage made of stone on the outside and wood inside, we have discovered a new mountainous region in the centre of France.
During these days and wearing their personalized bandanas with their name and made to measure, we attended a country music festival, which had a flea market, rodeos, line country workshops and concerts.
In our walk along a lake, the doggie cousins took the opportunity to have a bath without warning ;), and we took the opportunity of these beautiful and magic landscapes to take pictures of them.
This holiday have also helped Colette to discover the gastronomy – amazing the zucchini’s size bigger than Colette ^_^ – and the flore of the area, like the epilobium, a plant characteristic of this region that appears wildly in the fileds, with flowers of four, most often pink or purple. New flavours and smells to enrich Colette’s life!
Since Colette is a city dog, she has not many occasions to run ‘in freedom’, that is, without its harness and its leash, that’s why trips like these in direct contact with the nature, where we see her freely trotting with no fear trhough fields and forests, make us very happy.
Have you travelled this summer with you dogs?
We would love that you tell us down here in the comments of this post and in that way, you can give us ideas for future holiday destinations. Thank you very much!
