ECO-KIT TO WALK WITH YOUR DOG
Since this year on September 21th, 2019, “Peace Day” was dedicated to “Climate Action for Peace”. Two days later, the “Climate Action Summit” of the UN took place. and, above all, in the wake of the “World Climate Strike” on 27-S, the news about the disastrous effects that climate change will have on our lives and our planet does not stop happening.
We would not want this fight to be a fad, and I am sure that if Colette could make her own decisions as a consumer, she would want to do her bit. That is why, in this new publication of PomPomDog we show you what are the products that are part of what we have called “eco-kit”: sustainable products for the environment to walk with your dog.
Of course, it does not mean that the products that we show you hereunder are the only ones, because fortunately, there is an increasing variety of eco products on the market. They are just ideas, hopefully they inspire you, and for which we have not been sponsored ^ _ ^
- Roll of compostable bags.
These types of bags are made of natural plant-based materials. In addition, the center of the roll is cardboard so you can recycle it or throw it in the organic waste without problem. From the great variety that is on the market, even scented, we have selected this pack of 60 bags, although there are also 120 bags packs, of the “Beco Pets” brand, which you can find in stores such as “Sin Huella Zero Waste”.
- Biodegradable bags dispenser.
This article seemed new to us, since the bag dispenser for excrements made of bamboo and corn starch goes as ecological as the bags inside. It accepts most rolls of bags and fits most leashes. It is from the “Beco Pets” brand, which you can find again in stores such as “Sin Huella Zero Waste”.
- Pee clean bottle.
This is one of our latest additions to Colette’s “eco-kit” to take care of the environment and at the same time it spares fines. It is a portable bottle to clean the pee from the floor of the streets, which can be filled with a special cleaner or simply with soap and water, as we do. It is perfect for small pees, like that of our Pomeranians, and we use it only for the “unloading pees”, since for the mini “marking pees” we continue to let it relate to its dog neighbors. This is from the “United Pets” brand that you can buy in a variety of colors on the brand’s own page.
- Biodegradable wipes.
Although at first sight it may seem that the concepts “wipe” and “protect the environment” are opposed, these wipes made of 100% cotton biodegradable material, disintegrate quickly. They are from the “Pogi’s Pet Supplies” brand. Those of the “Inodorina” brand are also one of our favorites for their wide range, and we know that of many of you too. Of course, only those with “bio” written are 100% biodegradable.
We don’t want to get melodramatic, but this is the reality: There is no PLANet B. And as Greta Thunberg, the young Swedish environmental activist says, “nobody is too small to make a difference”, so there is no excuses for our little Pomeranians to contribute to the fight, inspiring bigger dogs too ?
