After the previous post regarding Colette’s introduction and the comments received, in which you introduce yourselves and you introduce your dogs, comments, which we really appreciate, we still want to know you and to make ourselves known; that’s why we talk about Colette’s bag, or rather, Colette’s bags.
An Australian journalist called Katrhyn Eisman said some time ago: “Forget looking into a woman’s eyes; if you want to know her secrets, look inside her handbag”. We do really agree with that opinion, since a bag can be an important revealing element about the owner’s personality, or as we’ll see in this post, about the owners’ and dogs’ personality and life.
- The day-to-day and in the walks in the neighbourhood: we carry a backpack. The main reason is while we’re working away, Colette is luckily never alone because her “human grandparents” look after her, even though it means Colette moves into up three houses on a daily basis. Because of this, a backpack, where we can put into all she could need through the day and her baby-sitters can easily carry, seemed to us the best choice.
- For the city centre, shopping or hanging out with friends: we use a handbag big enough for Colette to go into if the occasion requires, for example, shops where dogs are allowed, but they cannot walk on the floor or when Colette gets tired in long walks. We include fewer things in this handbag than in the backpack, that’s to say, only “the basic” or “the essentials” (numbers 1, 2, 3, 12, 13 and 16 in the previous photo).
- For the trips: we carry a bigger and more comfortable bag, than the previous ones, where Colette can, not only stand up but also lie down inside. This travel bag meets the dimensions required by the airlines in order to bring Colette with us in the cabin and not in the hold. In addition, this travel bag has many useful pockets to put into “the basic” Colette’s things as some of our things. But we’ll talk about this travel bag, and in particular, about the topic “Travel with Pomeranians” in another post.
I don’t know if Katrhyn Eisman would say that we’re casual, practical and independent because we carry a backpack daily, or however coquettish and with a stand out attitude because we use a handbag in our social outings, or even adventurer because of our travel bag; we only hope that you’ve found this article interesting and that you feel inspired to tell us in the comments of this post:
how are your dogs’ bags and what is inside them?
How to tell a woman by her handbag” by Kathryn Eisman.
